CARACAS.- Ante una multitud de dos mil personas el show del DJ británico Carl Cox debió ser suspendida por el tiroteo que, según se informó, arrojó cuatro víctimas fatales. El episodio se vivió en la Terraza A de La Ronconada de Caracas, donde el artista pinchaba sus discos. La información se repartió rápidamente entre bloggers venezolanos, los primeros en reaccionar, quienes denunciaron el hecho.
Luego de la 1:30 de la mdrugada del sábado recién pasado, a sólo 30 minutos después de haber comenzado el show de Carl Cox, repentinamente irrumpió el sonido de disparos sobre la música, en el dance floor, generando confusión entre los asistentes.
Según relata el blog caraqueño, de inmediato se produjo "una estampida de personas buscando las salidas, dejando el lugar vacío en cuestión de minutos ante el terror de verse sorprendidos entre disparos sin saber saber de donde venían".
La información incluye "un saldo no menor de cuatro muertos y cinco heridos. Entre los comentarios del publico existen fuertes críticas por la escasez de seguridad en el evento y la falta de detectores de metal y una revisión fuerte en los accesos que pudieron evitar esta situación".
Según noticias en medios locales ya se habla de una cifra oficial de cuatro muertos y cinco heridos de los que se encuentran identificados. Pero hasta ahora, no se conocía la identidad del autor de los disparos. Se trataría de un sujeto que estaba en la fiesta reconoció a uno de sus enemigos, e inició el tiroteo. En el lugar quedaron casquillos de una pistola punto 40 y de 380. Uno de los fallecidos tenía el estuche de un arma.
Uno de los heridos recuerda que pasó media hora antes de que sus amigos lo pudieran bajar cuatro pisos hasta la planta baja para llevarlo al hospital, donde ingresó con una fractura de fémur causada por el impacto.
En el hecho además quedaron heridos José Isidro Peña (37), novio de una joven fallecida, quien fue trasladado al hospital de Coche con tres heridas en la cabeza. Otro de los heridos fue el efectivo de Policaracas, Darwin Pérez Castro (38), que recibió un disparo en el pecho, Edward Colmenares, herido en el muslo izquierdo y Javier Castro (25) con una herida en la mano derecha.
La oficina de Pacific Producciones, organizadora del evento, dijo que las empresas Promo X y Number One tenían 130 efectivos para resguardar a los asistentes y, además, había 20 policías metropolitanos y 10 guardias nacionales.
Carl Cox se presentará en Chile en el próximo festival Creamfields el próximo viernes 9 de noviembre.
